The Atonement

So this blog as you can tell is going to be to help others fill there saviors love and to see the good things in life and that brings me to my first topic that I wanted to share with everyone. That topic is the Atonement. The Atonement to me is everything there is nothing more important. The Atonement is here to save all from sin and helps us repent and live again with our Heavenly Father. Alma 7:11-13 says  11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and aafflictions andbtemptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will ctake upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him adeath, that he may bloose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to csuccorhis people according to their infirmities. 13 Now the Spirit aknoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the bflesh that he might ctake upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
The Savior truly knows how we fill because he has been there and he is the only one that can help us get through anything as we allow him to help us. I have apply the Atonement so many times in my life and i will continue to for the rest of my life and I am grateful for all he has done for me so that i can become better and progress in this life.
When I think of the Atonement I think of a letter i got about six months ago which said this. "When times get hard, I reflect on the last days of the Savior here on the earth and His ministry and I would reflect often on a picture (above) I had in my den at home of the Savior on the cross  between the two thieves and the people below observing the situation, and i would reflect on this picture and i would look at the soldiers, some looking up at Him intently, one bored to be there. Some appeared to be scribes and pharisees wondering about this Jesus they have heard about. Then I look up at the Savior on the cross and think of Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, aMy God, my God, why hast thou bforsaken me? After I would think that  through, I would say to myself ' Was he winning, or was he losing.' and I would look at the people below, and to most of them, He probably was losing. BUT  if you look through the eyes of our Heavenly Father, he had never been MORE successful, more OBEDIENT to his commandments than ever before, He was indeed WINNING and was succeeding in completing and finishing the Atonement."
So brothers and sisters! are we Winning or are we losing? that letter has helped me so much to look at things differently if we are struggling we need to be grateful and know that the Savior is going to help us through the trail and hardship. I Pray that all of us  now think am i winning or am i losing? because if were losing we are letting Satan win and if he is winning then we are not following the way  of Jesus Christ. He wants  all of us to be happy and able to say I am WINNING today! I know that this gospel is true! i know that the Atonement is what is going to help us in our time of need as we allow the Savior to help us.  It has worked for me and if that is possible then it sure can work for the rest of Gods children! Let us all strive to be winning!
