How to Develop Christlike Attributes

Who wants to know  the secret  to develop ALL the Christlike attributes? Well the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us the answers! First we must have faith in Christ and come to know that he is the savior and Redeemer of the World. Faith is to hope for things which we cant see but know that it is true! As we develop faith it leads us to act upon the things that we know that are true!

Second is repentance which is to have a change of hart or resiting the desire to do wrong. The change of heart is will come as we come to know Jesus Christ and willingly Follow him and keep his commandments repentance is important because as we follow Christ and do his will we start to develop Christlike Qualities. and the Atonement makes it all possible so that we can be forgiven of our sins Moroni 6:8  But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven. as we repent and seek this Forgiveness  God has given us a way to become Clean!

Then comes the First Ordinance of the gospel Baptism! Baptism is a Covenant  that Binds and solemn agreement between God and man. Tn this convent or promise we promise to take upon are self the name of Jesus Christ,  keep his Commandments, and to ALWAYS to remember him! Our Heavenly Father Blesses us with the guidance of the Holy Ghost at all times as we live worthy of it. some other promise that we receive as we keep our promise that we will receive a remission of our sins. Yes we know that baptism is for the remission of sins but to retain that we must live and keep this promise. King Benjamin talks about this in Mosiah 4:26 And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants. baptism is so important we know that NO person can enter Gods Kingdom without Baptism. Christ was the PERFECT example for us all and being Baptized!

Once we have entered into the waters of baptism is all said and done? NOPE  baptism is incomplete just by its self  IT MUST be followed by the BAPTISM OF FIRE which is to receive the Gift Holy Ghost. the Book of Mormon teaches this to us. 2nd Nephi 31:17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost. As you  we have the Gift of the holy ghost we are able to make right choices and be able to follow Christ in his foot steps.

Now are we done is this all we have to do? sorry there is one more piece to the puzzle! Once we have faith, repented of our sins, entered the waters of baptism and allowed the Holy ghost guide us daily  we must press forward which the last step is Enduring to the End.Enduring is being able to handle trails and hardships as we allow Christ to help us. As we we do this we Draw nearer to God Conquer sin and enjoy  the holy ghost in our life. Faith, Repentance, making and renewing Covenants, Being cleansed by the spirit become a pattern of living, as we follow this pattern we are able to experience peace and joy in our life and GRADUALLY GROW IN CHRISTLIKE ATTRIBUTES and are promised Eternal life.

Brothers and Sisters this is the only way to happiness and to developing Christ like attributes! and all of this is possible because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ which allows us to become perfect like he is and as we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ we will develop those Attributes and be able to follow in his foot steps and live with him once again and be a happy and forever family!
